Sage-Honey Superconductor
Sonoma California, living sculpture 2011 - present
galvenized steel, burlap, earth, clay, mica, living sage plants
The above watercolor illustrates the environmental structure currently in progress. Commissioned by a private estate in Sonoma California this work is nearing completion. Interior seating is made of hand sculpted vernacular clay with a glazed mica finish. The skin of the dome is pocketed with living white sage meant to engage a surrounding apiary designed to create a visual and physical dialogue with the structure and will result in a medicinal grade white sage honey.
